In Zeiten der Krise rufen Viele zur Solidarität auf. Allerdings wird „Solidarität“ oft nur als leere Versprechung verwendet. Gleichzeitig zeigen die Pandemie und der Krieg die gesellschaftliche Relevanz von Solidarität, insbesondere in Bezug auf sozialen und politischen Veränderungen wie der Prekarisierung von Arbeit, rassistischer und/oder queerer/transphober Diskriminierung, sozialer Ausgrenzungsprozesse oder der Umweltverschmutzung, der Wohnungsfrage und der sozialen Frage. Unser Studio untersucht, welche solidarischen Praktiken als mögliche Katalysatoren von gesellschaftlicher, räumlicher und urbaner Transformation verstanden werden können, wobei wir uns auf queer-feministischen Gruppen fokussieren. Das Studio ist Teil des Forschungsprojekts „Transforming Solidarities. Praktiken und Infrastrukturen in der Migrationsgesellschaft“ (BUA/DFG) und des künstlerischen Forschungsprojektes „Nothing that ever was changes“ (POLIGONAL Büro für Stadtkommunikation).
In times of crisis, many actors call for solidarity. However, ‘solidarity’ often only works as an empty signifier. At the same time, the pandemic and the war reveal the societal relevance of solidarity, particularly in the face of social and political changes, such as the precarization of work, racist and/or queer-/transphobic discrimination, social exclusion processes, or environmental pollution, the housing and the social question. In this context, this studio asks which solidarity practices can be understood as possible catalysts of a larger societal, spatial and urban transformation with a focus on housing vulnerable queer-feminist groups?
The studio is part of the research project „Transforming Solidarities. Practices and Infrastructures in the Migration Society“ (BUA/DFG) and the artistic research project „Nothing that ever was changes“ (POLIGONAL Office for Urban Communication).
