Dies ist eine städtische Intervention mit drei Zielen: einen neuen interaktiven Treffpunkt schaffen, Sensibilisierung und Sichtbarkeit für die Thematik des Wohnprojekts in der Nachbarschaft und darüber hinaus und Spenden sammeln. Die Farbe ist von Rut's Wunsch nach lila Balkonen inspiriert. Dieser Wunsch konnte jedoch aufgrund des Denkmalschutzes in dem Gebiet (Karl-Marx-Allee II) nicht erfüllt werden. Daher sind die Stühle ein Mittel, um etwas Lila in der Nachbarschaft zu verbreiten. Die Stühle verwandeln den Parkplatz in einen interaktiven Raum. Auf diese Weise werden wir die Präsenz des neuen Treffpunktes von RuT, der aus einem Kiez-Café, einem Veranstaltungssaal und einem Gemeinschaftsgarten bestehen wird im Stadtraum abbilden. Darüber hinaus hat die Intervention aufgrund der veränderten Nutzung des Raumes ein starkes Irritationspotenzial für die Betrachter und lenkt die Aufmerksamkeit auf die Baustelle.
This is an urban intervention with three main goals: to spread awareness about the housing project in the neighborhood (and beyond), to collect donations and to create a new interactive meeting point. The color recalls the wish of RuT for purple balconies in the building. However, the wish couldn’t be met because of the Denkmalschutz involving the area (Karl Marx Allee II). Hence, the chairs are a tool to spread some purple in the neighborhood. The chairs transform the car parking into an interactive space. In this way, we will anticipate the presence of
the new meeting point provided by RuT which consists of a kiez cafè, an event hall and a communal garden. Furthermore, the intervention has a strong potential of irritation to the observers, due to the change of use of the space, and it catalyzes the attention on the construction site.
